What is TTL?
Tech-Teach-Learn is the “Technology for Teaching and Learning Conference.” It is an opportunity for educators to learn how to be more effective in using technology in the classroom. The conference will be held at Kentucky Country Day School in June of each year.
In even years, the conference is two days of one-hour sessions covering a variety of topics. In odd years, it is a one day of intensive three-hour workshops.
The Tech-Teach-Learn conference offers sessions on a variety of technologies and topics. Breakout sessions last year included topics such as Google Apps for Education, websites and apps for subject-specific curriculum, iPads, Twitter, coding, MakerEd curriculum, EdPuzzle, and intellectual property rights when using digital media.
The conference will have sessions for teachers of all grade levels (Pre-K through high school), all subject areas, and all technology skill levels. Sessions will also be available for school administrators and IT staff.
Attendees should bring a device to the conference and should read the session description for details about other items to bring/do ahead of the conference!
What do previous attendees say about the conference?
"The topics were relevant and the presenters knowledgeable. Every year I leave with "take-aways" that I can use immediately, which keeps me coming back! Thank you for an exceptional conference that just keeps getting better every year!"
"Great overall conference - wonderful lunch and loved the Smackdown and door prizes. Great venue for it as well. So thankful to have something done in Louisville by Kentucky educators. Allows for great networks to be built."
"With a low registration fee, this is one of the best deals in Kentucky EdTech!"
"This was one of the most enjoyable, well-organized, friendly, and professional conferences I have attended. My mind and skills were challenged starting with the keynote speaker and followed by every session I attended. I had never been on KCD's campus and it is truly a great place for children and adults to learn. [...] Thanks for challenging me to reflect on what I do in the classroom and for giving me tools to use to help my teaching meet our 21st Century goals."
"I learned so much! The presenters were engaging and easy to talk to!"
"I am definitely planning on returning to the conference next year. There is so much new technological information and I feel this is a wonderful way to become exposed to it and also be given practical ways to implement it."
"The energy of the attendees was great. We had some powerful discussions in the sessions that I attended."
"The conference offers a great variety of topics. Every year has also featured a dynamic keynote speaker. I look forward to attending again."
"I enjoyed everything from the very first moment the conference began. Your keynote speakers each morning set the tone to inspire and instill useful ideas from the get-go. [...] I immediately went home and drafted notes to look back on for my own benefit, and began thinking how I will share this with my peers."
